The admission, review, and dismissal (ARD) and individualized education program (IEP) supports ensure that students with disabilities receive tailored educational programs based on the unique needs of that child and that are designed to enable the child to work towards grade-level content standards and achieve challenging goals. Proper provision of a free appropriate public education (FAPE) means that all students have access to the supports and services that will prepare them for success in college, careers, and independence. Core responsibilities include providing educators with technical assistance, training, and guidance for ARD committee meetings and developing and implementing IEPs.
